
ASSET NITROX STANDARDS - ORIENTATION/CROSS OVER COURSES
FOR TECHNICIANS WHO ARE CERTIFIED BY OTHER AGENCIES
You will need to attend the 2-day course as above but we offer the course at a special rate as a cross over course to existing technicians who hold Nitrox certification from other Nitrox Agencies.

The purpose of this course is to orientate candidates to ASSET Standards & Codes of Practices, British Standards, Health & Safety Law, revise knowledge requirements, assess practical skills and experience so that the experienced Technician can gain ASSET Advanced Technician Certification. This certification is a pre requisite for IDEST Service Centre Approval.

DITC & CYLINDER TESTING UPDATE & ASSESSMENT
In Health and Safety Law, there is a requirement that the maintenance of critical systems such as breathing apparatus and pressure vessels, must be carried out by a “Competent Person”. Competence may be defined as trained, certified and experienced.
The ASSET DITC and Cylinder Testing Upgrade and Assessments builds on the knowledge and skills learned in the DITC & Cylinder Testing Courses providing a benchmark for the competence of Scuba Technicians.
During the assessment you will reprise Standards, Procedures and Technical issues then undergo a comprehensive evaluation of knowledge and practical skills.
DITC UPDATE & ASSESSMENT - 2 days
Pre-requisites:
Hold the Dive Industry Technicians Certificate and have documented proof of 12 months full time (or the equivalent part time) experience in the maintenance and repair of diving equipment.
CYLINDER TESTING UPDATE & ASSESSMENT – 1 day
Pre-requisites:
Hold the ASSET Cylinder Testing Certificate and have documented proof of 12 months full time (or the equivalent part time) experience in all aspects of Cylinder Testing including Visual Inspection & Hydro Testing.
